Waldorf University’s Student Life Department has a new summer resident assistant (RA) position available for students who will be staying on campus and are currently searching for jobs to do during the summer.
Some of the things that students applying for this job could anticipate is gaining experience helping with outside camps, conferences and new student orientation as well as other Student Life processes. Among a list of other duties of a summer RA and a few important responsibilities including developing community standards with floor and hall members, planning and carrying out three fun or educational activities for residents during the term and working 10 hours per week at the Campus Information Center.
Student Life will compensate the RA with housing for the summer from May 11 to July 31, 2020. A $90-a-week stipend will be paid monthly starting May 25. Moreover, housing will be provided after July 31 for summer RAs who will be returning to the Resident Life Staff for the 2020-2021 school year.
Anuja KC, a junior at Waldorf University who worked as the summer resident assistant last year, said that she had an amazing experience as she got to work alongside the Resident Life team. She said it was an eye-opening and valuable learning experience.
“I will not be applying for the position this year as I have to do my internship but my advice to the new summer RA this year would be to just have fun, enjoy and embrace the ride as the memories will stay with you forever,” said KC.
Students who are interested can pick up an application and job description from the CIC desk in the Campus Center.
